Vinted Visibility in 2026: What You Can Actually Control – vinted, algorithm, visibility

Many guides describe "the Vinted algorithm" with precise rules: a 24-hour window, the best minute to send an offer, image fingerprints. Vinted does not publish its ranking logic, so those rules are guesses presented as facts. This article separates what you can verify from what you cannot, and focuses on the parts you control.

What is documented

  • Search and filters use listing information. Buyers can search and filter by fields such as brand, size, condition, colour and price. Accurate fields help make the item eligible for the relevant filters, but Vinted does not publish a complete ranking formula or guarantee visibility.
  • Bumps are a paid visibility feature. Vinted sells "Bump" to show an item more prominently for a limited time. Check the current price and conditions in the Vinted app for your country.
  • Buyers can favourite items and receive offers. Vinted lets sellers send offers to interested buyers. How these signals affect ranking is not published.

What is guesswork

Claims such as "items disappear after 48 hours", "send an offer exactly 15 minutes after a favourite" or "Vinted recognises re-uploaded photos" are not confirmed by Vinted. Treat them as anecdotes. Deleting and re-uploading the same item repeatedly may also conflict with the platform's rules on duplicate listings: read the Vinted catalogue rules before doing it.

What you control: listing quality

1. A clear first photo

The first photo is what buyers see in the feed and in search. Use daylight, a plain background and show the whole item.

2. Accurate attributes

Pick the right category, brand, size and condition. Incorrect information may exclude the item from relevant filtered results or show it to the wrong audience.

3. A specific title and a useful description

Brand + item type + colour/material + size in the title. In the description: condition, defects, measurements and composition.

4. A realistic price

Compare with items of the same brand and condition. Price is one factor buyers can compare, but there is no universal price that guarantees interest or a sale.

Example: before and after

  • Before: "Nice jacket" – category "Other", no size, one dark photo.
  • After: "Levi's denim trucker jacket, light blue, size M" – category Jackets, brand Levi's, size M, five daylight photos including label and a small mark on the cuff.

The second listing can be found through filters and answers the buyer's first questions. That is the part of visibility you can influence.

Using AI for the draft

SellFast AI drafts a Vinted title, description and hashtags from your photos. It does not know Vinted's ranking rules and cannot guarantee visibility: it helps you write a complete listing faster, which you then check and publish.
